Otsikko: [enkku] agni ja soma
Kirjoitti: sideman - 03.08.2019 11:08:06
Kirjasta Yogic Flying according to Yoga Vasishtha (meille aspergereille: vaasiSTha),
"käännös" kappaleen 5 värssystä 109:

(Lisäys, meitsin translitteraatioyritys alkutekstistä:)

anyonyalabdhasadvaakyaavevaM kuDyaprakaashavat
agniiSomaav* imau jñeyau saMpRktau dehadehinau.

(Just for fun, attempt at analysing that verse, as to phonetics:

agnii-Somau imau jñeyau saMpRktau deha-dehinau ??)

There are these two contrasting, mutually exclusive modes of experience of reality,
either one perceives  the material object, or one perceives the eternal unmanifest
non-changing truth of life; in this way, the vision of the wall, the vision of any manifest
boundary depends on something prior to perception, the standpoint of consciousness,
whether Self-referral of object referral.

Agni and Soma, these two are to be known as the diversifying quality of consciousness (Agni;
lausu: ag-ni, EI ang-ni! Takaperin luettuna sisältää biija-mantran inga? hihhih...)
which gives rise to the perception of boundaries, and the unifying quality of consciousness
(Soma; lausu: sooma; sisältää mantran om?)  which gives rise to the experience of unboundedness; these two are completely
blended together [in the ordinary experience of the waking state of consciousness] becoming
the body and the dweller in the body.

(Freund'in kommentti:) Now the entire stream of evolution from ignorance to supreme enlightenment
is being presented in terms of an expanding, diversifying principle, called "Agni", and a unifying
principle called "Soma." These two principles give rise respectively to object-referral experience
and Self-referral experience.

* Dvandva-tyyppisessä yhdyssanassa agniiSomau (sandhin vuoksi agniiSomaav; agni [ja] soma), sanan soma ässä muuttuu vastaavaksi retrofleksiksi S (eräänlainen "suhu-s") kaiketi siksi että sitä edeltää jokin muu vokaali kuin a, tässä i !?
