Aloin lukea unikirjana M.R. Kalen A Higher Sanskrit Grammar'ia. Törmäsin sanaan maartaaNDa, joka Kalen mukaan tarkoittaa aurinkoa, kääntyy enkuksi: born of a dead (mRta?) egg (aNDa). Sana lienee siis ns. vRddhi-derivatiivi (vokaalin pidennykseen perustuva johdos) sanoista mRtas (kuollut; vrt. suomen marras-) ja aNDa ([esim. linnun]muna). (Tuosta myytistä lienee Kalevalassakin heijjastuksia??). Yksi universumia tarkoittava sana lienee brahmaaNDa (luojajumala brahmaan - pitkällä loppu-aalla - muna luulisin, EI Absoluutti brahmanin?) - Viitanneeko tuo jotenkin Big Bang'iin, vaikka jotkut astrofyysikot kai epäilevät koko Big Bängiä?
