siitä, kuinka paljon Transsendenttinen Meditaatio(R) eroaa monista muista tekniikoista. Muut
tekniikat vähentävät(?) aivokuoren osien keskinäistä koherenssia eli yhteistoimintaa, TM taas
lisää sitä niin, että tutkija oli "really blown away":

Turns out that the guy helped do the original TM coherence studies at MERU 38 years ago, but hasn't really done any studies on TM since then. Alaric showed him a canned version the traveling EEG demo that Fred Travis does in his lecture and the guy was blown away. THEN Alaric hooked Cynthia to the portable EEG machine and they did the demo live and the guy was REALLY blown away.
Alaric says he's now all hyped about redoing the above study he did on 5 different meditation traditions, but this time on TM.
Alaric expects him to find exactly the opposite effect with TM than he found looking at the 5 non-TM groups of meditators.
The research will probably be published sometime late next year.
The research above was published in NeuralImage with an IMpact factor of 5.85 and a journal ranking of 20. To put that in perspective, a lot of the TM EEG research gets published in The International Journal of Neuroscience, with an Impact Factor of about 1.0 and a journal ranking of 4th from the bottom in the field of neuroscience
If this guy Dietrich Lehmann is even remotely as excited about things as Alaric claims, this could be a major breakthrough in hardcore brain research on TM.
